Miss J Ehlinger

I trained to teach at Bishop Grossesteste College Lincoln from 1976- 1979.  I started teaching in September 1979 at Thorpe Infant School in Thorpe Bay Southend on Sea.

In 1983 I set off for Jerusalem and taught for 4 years at the Anglican International School. This school catered for International Students whose parents worked for the UN and parents working in Israel. We also had a few local children so it was a great mix of cultures set in the heart of Israel.  In 1987 I returned to London and continued to work with children from different cultures in Islington. I taught at St Mary Magdalene Primary and St Jude and St Pauls Primary for a total of 11 years.

I returned to my roots in 1998 and taught at Parochial Primary School in Ashton U Lyne where I stayed for 9 years. We were lucky enough to plan and have a new school which was great fun to plan.  In 2007 I started part time at Chapel Primary whilst at the same time teaching adults training as teaching assistants working for DCC.  I have continued as a full time class teacher at Chapel.
