Chapel-en-le-Frith C of E VC Primary School is a large primary school with a nursery. The school has enhanced resource status, providing a high quality inclusive provision for children with a range of special educational needs.

We are looking to appoint somebody who is highly motivated and has the skills to move the children’s learning forwards in Literacy and Maths.  You need an understanding of how early literacy and maths skills are acquired by children and the steps that can support and enhance their development.  A strong understanding of the progressional nature of these subjects is essential in order to deliver structured intervention programmes, recording achievement and progress and providing feedback to individual class teachers.  It is essential you have good communication skills with both children and adults.  You will need to be self motivated and independent in order to manage resources and groups of children or individuals, as well as being able to take direction from phase leaders.  A willingness to be coached and learn alongside other professionals will support you in your role and make sure the programmes are followed to gain the most impact.  A reflective nature would help you to adapt subsequent sessions and therefore as a school we know our children would be receiving personalised learning.  Keeping children engaged and managing behaviour will be a crucial part of your role and help the children to get the most out of the support they are given.

If you are keen to help us deliver targeted and focused support to our learners, then please apply for this position within our team.
